Delong’s experienced sales staff offers guidance and expert advice in all areas of abrasive applications. We offer a variety of blasting abrasives, including:

•Steel Shot and Grit: A durable blasting abrasive that offers high resistance to impact fatigue. When using steel shot or grit in a blast room or cabinet, it can be recovered for reuse, making it cost-effective and efficient.

•Aluminum Oxide: A widely used blasting abrasive. Aluminum oxide is lightweight, fast-cutting, and cost-effective.

•Cut Wire: Has a consistent size and shape and can clean and peen when residues from ferrous blasting abrasives need to be avoided. It also produces a dust-free surface.

•Glass Beads: Fine glass beads are great for damage-free removal of surface deposits like calcium. They are also optimal for auto-body paint removal.

•Ceramic Shot and Grit: Generally used for surface cleaning of rubber and plastic molds, ceramic shot blasting abrasives have a high density which ensures superior peening.

•Plastic Abrasives: These blasting abrasives are generally used for paint stripping, deburring, and cleaning. They have a high stripping rate and are used in a wide variety of industries.

•Coal Slag: Consists of hard angular particles that offer fast cleaning and has an excellent profile for coating adhesion.

•Garnet: An efficient cutting abrasive that is a common replacement for silica sand in blasting.

•Staurolite Sand: Increased hardness and fine grain size make it perfect for blasting new steel for mill scale removal.

•Walnut Shell: A great rust-free paint remover for sheet metal substrates. This blasting abrasive is also used for blasting engines and transmissions, and is ideal for cleaning aluminum and brass.

•Crushed Glass: Another substitute for silica sand. Glass can be used as a dry blasting media or combined with water for use in slurry blasting.

•BiCarb Soda: A non-destructive blasting abrasive that eliminates environmentally hazardous chemicals. It can be used wet or dry to remove paint, corrosion, and many other coatings.

At Delong, we offer our entire in-stock blasting abrasives inventory at our Atlanta and Greenville locations, and we can process orders through our website as well.
